Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Road Dog Trailers has been manufacturing Motorcycle Touring Trailers for a couple of years now. No, we havent been around the longest but we definatley have something to offer the Motorcycle enthusiast. The inspriation for developing a touring trailer was born out of a couple of observations:

Size: We noticed that alot of trailers available were not designed for motorcycles at all, in fact they were designed for small cars. These larger size trailers are great for a lot of stuff, but not for handling, cornering or stopping. A 200lb trailer with 250-300 lb capacity puts over 500lbs behind a 600-700lb bike. If they are honest, most people who have done this will tell you a quick stop in a sketchy situation can be quite life changing. At 10 cubic ft your Road Dog is the perfect size for all situations. Big enough for touring, and small enough for everyday errands like groceries and back and forth to the office. With todays gas prices, your Road Dog can pay for itself in gas savings alone.

Handling: As for handling most trailers do very well. But trailers equipped with leaf spring suspensions tend to bounce and over react to road conditions. especially when they are empty. Torsion suspension on the other hand suits touring trailers rather well. It shocks and dampens at the same time is quite cost effective. Road Dog Trailers has independent torsion suspension on all their trailers.

Styling: Consider the fact that you picked your bike based on its sleek lines, aggressive styling and great handling. Now you are pulling a trailer that looks like an ice cream vendor box. With Road Dog you can have a sleek stylish trailer without giving your wallet a case of road rash. Which brings us to the final observation...

Price: We at Road Dog are avid riders and everyday working folks. Like most people we cannot afford $3,000-$6,000 for a touring trailer. At Road Dog Trailers, try to keep the price within reach of most riders who want to expand there gear carrying ability and still afford to ride.

Thanks again for considering Road Dog Trailers, see you on the road...
